THE PROBLEM:

Spoon had great distribution in several of the major retailers, but it was still early days in one of them, and we all know that they don’t give you long to prove your brand has the rate of sale to stay the distance.  We needed to cement our place on the shelf, and fast.

THE SOLUTION:

A test, learn, and scale approach.  In any scale up business budgets are tightly managed, so we couldn’t afford to make any mistakes.  We tested a combination of activities including in store sampling, price promotion, FSDUs and digital advertising in different regions to grow rate of sale in the most efficient way possible.

THE RESULTS:

By finding the optimum mix of low-cost activities we grew RoS in the test stores by 72% more than the control stores.  Now that’s a breakfast of champions.
